Trefor granite quarry, North Wales
Wales
The Trefor granite quarry is still sort of active to mine granite which is being used to make curling stones. Here you can see the quarry - which had it's own port - right next to the coast with views of the Llyn peninsula on one side, over to Anglesey and down to Snowdonia.
