Glen Pass on the Pacific Crest Trail - John Muir Trail, Kings Canyon National Park
California

Glen Pass is a 10,544 feet (3,214 m) mountain pass in the Sierra Nevada mountains on the John Muir / Pacific Crest Trail and within Kings Canyon National Park. It is the high point of the 41.4 mile long Rae Lakes Loop Trail. From here you can see Rae Lakes and alpine tarns. The area is very popular and there are quotas for overnight backpacking. Rae Lakes has on one night camping limit and hikers are required to carry portable bear-resistant canisters. There are also permanent metal food storage boxes on the loop and along the Pacific Crest Trail and John Muir Trail.
