Multicoloured Landscapes from Palomani Pass
Peru

The 5,200 m high Palomani Pass is a relatively short hard slog all the way from the shore of Laguna Ausanagte below. Two grannies only in sandels were way ahead of me each carring wares on their head and one of them a baby sling with a baby llama in it.

The much lower Apachata Pass could be seen below on the right and the valley below it is of Permian formation and is marked by a multitude of colours.

A great blanket of cloud heralded another snow storm soon.
