The Nuestra Señora de la Candelaria Port begins its most important season during the summer. The ships and yatchs come mostly from Buenos Aires, but latelly an important number of european and southamerican sailors come to this port. At the port there are many companies which make trips to Gorriti and de Lobos islands. They can be also rented to take a fishing tour. Around the area many restaurants, pubs and fish markets have opened for the confort of the tourist who can go either to a restaurant or cook at home delicious seafood recipes. International Yatch competitions like Whitbread, Around Alone and the Off-Shore of Punta del Este make this port one of their stops during them.
