Saint Uberto Church, Venaria
Turin

The church of Sant'Uberto (or chapel of Sant'Uberto) is a place of Catholic worship in Venaria Reale, in the province of Turin, dedicated to Sant'Uberto.

It is part of the complex of the Reggia di Venaria Reale and is considered one of the masterpieces of international baroque. It was built between 1716 and 1729, designed by the Messina architect Filippo Juvarra, who received the commission from Vittorio Amedeo II of Savoy (the upper internal parts of the access portals are in fact marked with the initials VA carved on marble).

Turin has a modern public transport infrastructure so it is easy to get to architectural sites and museums, most notably the Mole Antonelliana, which is the home of the National Cinema Museum. Home to Torino and Juventus, two historical italian football teams, the region is famous as the birth place of solid chocolate over 200 years ago. Gianduiotto is perhaps the most famous Turin chocolate currently in production.
