The shoreline fortification on the Yeysk spit
Russia

The Yeysk spit — it is “a natural wonder” set between Yeysk estuary and the sea of Azov in Yeysk, Russia. This spit of really striking beauty is an upland jutting out 3 kilometers above the Sea of Azov.

One of its coasts is washed by the Taganrog Gulf, the another one is washed by the Yeysk estuary of the Azov.
You will be amazed by the beauty of panoramic views of islets where cormorants, sea gulls and egret live. Since the shoreline is well fortified, you can fishing from out there because the waters are calm even during a storm.
The length of the streamer for about 3 km, as has already been said, although once it was 8 km, but eventually was washed out, and its extremity has become a small islet called “Green”. Today this area is mostly swampy making it difficult to reach because of its reed and grassland vegetation. The two lighthouses and the abandoned house also welcome tourists. This part of the Yeysk spit has long been popular with yachting and sailing.
Calm sea and wide beaches turned the Yeysk spit into a popular place for tourists with entertainment area, amusement Park or local cafes and restaurants. You can take hydrogen sulfide baths, therapeutic mud in the inner protected lagoon “Green island”.
In the summer between the island and the city the tour boats are available. The departure of the boats comes from the Central beach. You will be able to get the rest and relaxation you deserve, spending just a short time (40 minutes about) for the commute.
