Waterworks , Dams To Darnley Country Park , Glasgow

These buildings are part of the waterworks found at the lower end of the Barrhead reservoirs .

The reservoirs were built from 1847 onwards by the GGWC (Gorbals Gravitation Water Company) to supply the Gorbals area of Glasgow with a clean water supply .

The Dams to Darnley Country Park which now houses the 5 reservoirs , namely , Ryat Linn , Waulkmill Glen , Balgray , Littleton and Coalhill is very popular with anglers , walkers and cyclists .
