Zittau Johanniskirche Dornspachhaus Markt
Zittau

 

Square in front of St. John's Church in Zittau directly overlooking the oldest building Zittau, the Dornspachhaus and look in the Weberstraße and on the west side of the square. Dornspach Nicolaus (1516-1580) was in the 16th century. Mayor of Zittau and had to build the house. His tombstone is still visible behind the St. John's, his skull can be admired in the museum. It is the oldest house in Zittau, because all the others were destroyed by fires in the town. More information about the buildings and the St. John's:
