Since 1918 in a building of the former private residence of Rukavishnikov the Nizhniy Novgorod museum of local lore (now the Nizhniy Novgorod istoriko-architectural memorial estate) has taken place.
However after nationalization of a building speech has come at once about repair.
1935 the next complex of restoration works of a private residence (at that point in time – already a museum) was spent. 1980th years works on restoration of sculptural and architectural elements of furniture of facades and interiors were annually spent. As they had local character, and on boundary XX-XXI of centuries in general have been stopped in the absence of financing, the main house has come to an emergency condition …
And here literally this autumn a building have fenced, and on private residence walls have stretched a banner simulating shape of a facade. Reconstruction has begun. Now front works from Verhnevolzhsky quay are finished (on a photo), and people can admire it fine an architecture monument.
С 1918 года в здании бывшего особняка Рукавишникова разместился Нижегородский краеведческий музей( в настоящее время Нижегородский историко-архитектурный музей-заповедник).
Известно, что строительство бывшего особняка Рукавишникова велось тщательно, под личным контролем владельца усадьбы.
Однако после национализации здания речь сразу же зашла о ремонте.
1935 году проводился очередной комплекс реставрационных работ особняка (на тот момент – уже музея). 1980-х годов ежегодно проводились работы по восстановлению скульптурных и архитектурных элементов убранства фасадов и интерьеров. Поскольку они носили локальный характер, а на рубеже XX-XXI столетий вообще были прекращены из-за отсутствия финансирования, главный дом пришёл в аварийное состояние…
И вот буквально этой осенью здание обнесли забором, а на стенах особняка растянули банер, имитирующий облик фасада. Началась реконструкция. Сейчас фасадные работы со стороны Верхневолжской набережной закончены (на фото), и нижегородцы могут любоваться этим прекрасный памятником архитектуры.
