The Crags
Victoria

The Crags is a rocky limestone outcrop on the coastline of the Southern Ocean about 6 kilometres east of Yambuk.

Settled in the 1840s Yambuk was once an important stopover for travellers along the coast between Warrnambool and Portland, 296 km west of Melbourne on the Princes Highway.. Today the town is a small country town with a population of about 300. Annie Baxter Dawbin was one of the pioneers in Yambuk who wrote journals of her life in Yambuk that have been published by the University of Queensland. The Shaw River Buffalo Cheese facility is situated on the site of the original Baxter homestead, Yambuk Station.
