Kilkenny - St. Canice's Cathedral, Crossing
Ireland
Kilkenny (Cill Chainnigh) is the county town of County Kilkenny. The River Nore runs through Kilkenny. Kilkenny is a lively and popular tourist destination. St. Canice's Cathedral was built in the 13th century in the English Gothic style. The patron saint also gave his name to the city – Irish: Cill Chainnigh –the curch of Cainnech. The round tower at the church is much older and dates from the 9th century.
