On nearly the end of the primary German/Romanian line of defense against the 2nd Ukrainians of the Soviets in the Iassy-Chishinev (Iasi-Chisinau in Romanaian) offensive, this forest has many visible trenches and fighting positions still visible. Just visible in this pano is a foxhole.
