In 1998 I was asked to provide online panoramic content for Virgin Atlantic. My name is Brian Conroy. I live in Tigard, a suburb of Portland Oregon.

When I was a teenager I used to splice my photos together and make ultrawide panoramas. Once I discovered 360 panoramas in 2006 I was so excited I spent $2,000 on all the equipment I needed on line the next day and I never looked back. I love taking these photos. They do so much more to capture the spirit and time of place. I am very lucky to have been raised in one of the most beautiful states in the country. My dad  grew up in very rural central Oregon. Fortunately he took me out there to fish whenever he could. I hope you enjoy these Panoramas as much as I do. I wish I could add sound to them to really put you there. Not really a business, just things I like to do and do pretty well. Photography, website development and bicyclung. I am no Lance Armstrong or George Hincapie, my photos have not appeared in National Geographic, yet. Nevertheless I get things done, pretty good. I start with bicycling. However I do not get paid for riding my bicycles. I get paid by doing a mix of the other things I like to do. Photography and website design. Cannot tell why my enjoyment and hobbies in life have come down to this list. If you can shed some light on it and/or need some help with any of the things that I enjoy doing, drop me an email or give me a call. Maybe we can take a bicycle ride and work it out.

I am recently out of the Army National Guard and still identify closely with the military life. Possibly because I was Air Force from '84-'88 and joined the Army in 2007. In between those two periods of service, I have worn many hats. I first became interested in and connected to panoramic and HDR photography in 2004 when I went to work as Marketing Assistant for SpheronVR in Germany. I eventually moved back home to the States and when I left SpheronVR in 2006, I lost sight of panoramic photography for a while. In 2007, I joined the Army and was deployed to Kosovo from Apr 2008 until Apr 2009. While in Kosovo, I started experimenting again with handheld and tripod mounted cylindrical panos. Upon my return home, I purchased Manfrotto's 303SPH panohead. I found I didn't have the time to experiment properly with the equipment until this summer (2013). Now I'm learning something new about spherical panos everyday. I enjoy capturing scenic panos, especially historical or military related and am currently capturing panos by commission for local businesses. I am using a Nikon D40 with the 18-55mm lens. I intend to begin experimenting with my Nikkor 10mm fisheye in the future but not in a hurry until I upgrade to a camera with a higher resolution.

Based just outside of San Antonio, Texas, David has been shooting 360 photos since he taught himself how to do it back in 2002.  He has created several virtual tours across the web over the years, including one of Big Bend National Park in Western Texas.  He is a part time photographer and full time Special Education Elementary Teacher.

History The dream of establishing a "University of the Jewish People" in the Land of Israel formed an integral part of the early Zionist vision. With the acquisition of the Gray Hill estate atop Mount Scopus, and the laying of the cornerstone for the university-to-be in 1918, the realization of the dream was on its way.

Seven years later, on April 1, 1925, the Hebrew University of Jerusalem was opened at a festive ceremony attended, among others, by leaders of world Jewry including the University's founding father, Dr. Chaim Weizmann, distinguished academics and communal leaders of the Yishuv, and British dignitaries including Lord Balfour, Viscount Allenby and Sir Herbert Samuel. Also in attendance were Chief Rabbi Abraham Isaac Hacohen Kook, the poet Haim Nahman Bialik and many others.

The First Board of Governors of the University, chaired by Dr. Weizmann, included such luminaries as Albert Einstein, Sigmund Freud, Martin Buber, Haim Nahman Bialik, Asher Ginsberg (Ahad Ha'am), Dr. Judah Leib Magnes, James Rothschild, Sir Alfred Mond, Nahum Sokolov, Harry Sacher and Felix M. Warburg.

The University's first three research institutes - in microbiology, chemistry and Jewish studies - had 33 faculty members and 141 students. In 1931, the University awarded its first degrees, the Master of Arts, to 13 graduates.

By 1947, the University had grown to a large, well-established research and teaching institution, encompassing humanities, science, medicine, education and agriculture (the last at a campus in Rehovot); the Jewish National and University Library; a University press; and an adult education center. Student enrollment exceeded 1,000 and there were some 200 faculty members.

The War of Independence in 1948 left the University campus cut off from Israeli west Jerusalem, and alternative facilities were found throughout the city. In 1953, construction began on a new main campus at Givat Ram in the heart of Jerusalem. A few years later work began on a health sciences campus in Ein Kerem in southwest Jerusalem, in partnership with the Hadassah Medical Organization. By the beginning of 1967, the number of faculties and schools had been greatly expanded, and enrollment exceeded 12,500.

With the reunification of Jerusalem in the Six-Day War of June 1967, work began on restoring and expanding the Mount Scopus campus. In 1981, the historical Mount Scopus campus again became the main home of the University. The University has since continued to grow, with the addition of new buildings, establishment of new programs, and recruitment of outstanding scholars, researchers and students, in fulfillment of its commitment to excellence.

I was born on 31st August 1959 in Finale Ligure. In my opinion the photographer is “who can find that small and hidden particular or detail (part of that universality we observe) that we don’t catch and communicate it through his eyes and works”.

I like to quote a beautiful thought of the French photographer Edoard Boubat (1923-1999): “You can’t become a photographer. You must live this work everyday, hour after hour, seizing the moment. The thousandth of second. Everything changes. Every moment. Only a step forward or back can damage the most perfect picture”. 

My photos have been published in magazines, newspapers, national and international headlines like 24 Karati, Business People, Archeo etc. . I am partner as creative photographer of the National Association of Professional Photographers  in Milano.

I travelled in the USA and in other countries of the world.

In 2002 I was selected by the International Events of Milano to represent the Italian photography for the “Independence day”: four evenings dedicated to the USA to celebrate 4th July.

From 2005 to 2010 I had my experience as official photographer and I collaborated with a press office to document and show the main activities and events of the city of Finale Ligure. In different occasions mass media focused on me with regard to my exhibitions. 

I have improved my experience in theatre photography and from 2006 for several years I was one of the stage photographers of “Teatro della Tosse” in Genoa. I also lent my work to important theatre directors such as Maximilian Nisi. 

I am also specialized in architectural photography and I challenged me in shots of big spaces with sophisticated techniques. 


From 20 February to 20 March 2009 at Palazzo Ducale in Genoa, the “International Poetry Room” housed my exhibition “Immagini e parole” (pictures and words) after the collaboration with the famous Roman poet Antonella Pedicelli. 

From 4 April to 11 May 2009 I held my exhibition “MASKS” about the charm and magic of Venice masks. 

From 6 to 12 September 2009 I did a picture story on behalf of UNITALSI LIGURE. An extraordinary experience from the human and professional point of view. And then its exhibition “Pellegrinaggio a Lourdes”, with the support of the Department of Education Sciences and Training Processes of the University of Turin, supported by the department UNITALSI of Finale and housed by the exhibition room of the Archeological Museum in Finale. 

Since 29 April 2010 I have held the exhibition “Dubai e dintorni”, a choice of my photos from my picture story in the Persian Gulf. 

I have had the chance to photograph big figures of the society such as: Eva Herzigova, Oliviero Toscani, Gino Paoli, Markus Stockhausen, Eleonora Giorgi, Irene Grandi, Renato Zero, and famous models, Marguerite Guerin (first etoile comedienne in Paris) and Larisa Romanova. I photographed different bands. 

I was coauthor of the book “Finale in Famiglia”, publishing house De Ferrari of Genoa. 

On 29 May I inaugurated my exhibition “Sherazade” about the teachers and their students of the belly dance school, directed by Marta Vicini. 

On 31 October 2010 I went to Nepal with the guide Carlo Mamberto and I did a picture story. The most part of these photos constitute my current exhibition “Namaste”, Nepal: from the Annapurna Circuit to the Chitwan Jungle; I opened it at the Oratory of the Disciplinanti in Finale Ligure and later in Genoa (in September, in the International Poetry Room of Palazzo Ducale) and in other towns. 

In May 2012 I realized 8 big panels with Luca Forno and they have been used for conventions about Alzheimer. The pictures are inspired by the Horticultural Therapy conducted by the doctors of Galliera Hospital in Genoa under Prof. Ernesto Palummeri and cooperative’s charge. The exhibition’s supervisor was Marco Riolfo.

It all started in the summer of 1998, I discovered a few rotating images on a Japanese engineering demonstration disc. With a simple flick of the 'wand', you get to explore the whole construction site. I was absolutely fascinated by the magic of virtual reality and I had an epiphany that this is exactly what I want to do from that moment on--I want to travel all around China to capture her beauty, and let the world admire her culture, from an unbiased, comprehensive perspective.

This motivated me to establish the ChinaVR website with my partners and set up a panoramic archive for all Chinese World Heritages and tour resorts. Therefore, I was regarded as China's first VR panoramic photographer. I dedicated myself to the development and application of Panoramic photography and computer processing technique, among them, Floating panorama and Motion panorama are well received by my peers. Thanks to the support of IVRPA and WWP, ChinaVR became the top Panoramic website in China and gained reputation worldwide.

Since hundreds of thousands of Chinese people were drawn to panorama, I established a pano forum for the fans and offer them a platform to exhibit their works and share their excitement. I always encourage these friends to participate in WWP events despite the language barrier. My next step is to setup a panoramic gallery, organise a Chinese panoramic association and publish a professional magazine in China, to help Chinese pano fans to communicate with international peers.

For my personal plan, I am preparing to build some "pano-rooms", in which huge gigapixel panoramic photographs were printed on Advanced Semi-gloss Photo Paper and mounted on 4 walls, sometimes with "ceiling" and "floor". Each wall measured at least 3.5 x 3.5 meters, people stand in the center of the "room", to feel the atmosphere of reality and to watch the very fine details of the panorama even with a magnifier.

The world famous Lycian Way hike goes right by the house and when you walk into town you are walking on it.

You dont need to have a car if you like walking. The beach is an easy walk down the hill and there are 6 restaurants. You can walk into Kas (30 minutes) and come back on the dolmuses (50p each) or taxis (4 pound) . Each morning the baker van toots his horn outside and you can buy your fresh bread.

I've been taking photographs since I was 16 years old. In the 80's I discovered 3D photography. A few years ago at a convention of the National Stereoscopic Association, I discovered the world of 360 photography. I'm originally from Florida, and lived in Tacoma Washington for many years. Yiannis Koukourakis (yiankoukour@gmail.com) was born in Athens, Greece. His acquaintance with photography came by working as assistance in an advertising studio. He first studied at the department of Photography, of the Technological Institute of Athens (TEI). Afterwards continued his studies on Fine Art Photography by following postgraduate studies in England, sponsored by the Hellenic Republic State Scholarships Foundation (IKY).

  I practice the picture for some years and I started to digital slr short time ago (in the meantime I made some video and my field was the video picture). Then with the emergence of very good digital SLR camera I dropped the video too costly and time-greedy both in shooting and in post-production time or more is calculated in hours but in days, what have square eyes!

I am a self taught amateur exploring 360 3D photography with a single camera. My basic setup includes one Sony a6000, a Rokinon 7.5mm shaved fisheye, a nodal ninja 3 and Manfrotto tripod. This rig allows for a minimum of 8 images (4 left, 4 right) which are stitched in ptgui and stacked top and bottom in Photoshop.

The basic challenge is time. It takes more than a minute to complete an 8 image stereo set with this rig. Even longer if attempting HDR. It is incredible how much will change in a scene in less than a minute. Tiny movements which go unnoticed in a 2D panorama will register in 3D as confusing depth cues which break the stereo illusion. 

Time and stitching are the underlying issues in single camera stereo panoramas.

Hi, I'm Nico Roig from Barcelona, Spain. After studying  industrial design career I got specialised in 3D and CG imaging, and I'm actually working on TV ads in a post-production company. I have been always interested in visualisation techniques, trying to take advantage of human abilities. I experimented mainly in three areas: stereoscopy, high-dynamic range imaging and 360º panoramas, in both photographic adquisition and computer-generation modes. My goal is to  push the limits of computer imaging further, taking lessons from photography and human vision physiology, to enhance communication and interactivity through this media.

Photography for me is not only a hobby, it's the way to capture the moments of life, as well as the way to discover nature of things covered by the dust of times and hidden in the stereotypical worldview. I like to capture the life in common. I try to see details in its mainstream.

After forty eight years of working for large corporations in a technical management capacity, I have retired and begun to explore my lifelong interest in photography. In the sixties I enjoyed spending many hours in my basement darkroom processing black and white film and photographs. Later on, in the early seventies, I began to work part time as a wedding photographer for a large studio and then in my own business. Working forty plus hours a week, combined with all the photography work on the side, caused me to become an unfamiliar face with my own children and I reverted back to photography as a hobby. Now, that every night is a Friday night and every day a Saturday, I am taking advantage of my free time doing what I have enjoyed for so long. Things have changed quite a bit over the years. The hours spent in the darkroom with my enlarger are now spent in front of my computer with Photoshop and Lightroom. I hope you enjoy the photos I will be posting.

From in New York City, Jook Leung is a professional 360 Panoramic Photographer intent on capturing wide-view images of people in urban landscapes around the world.  His work has been described as "visually rich narratives depicting the intricacies of the world's cultures with the full spectrum of human emotion." I am a professor at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, primarily studying the impacts of climate change in arctic Alaska.  My main focus is glaciers, but also the influence that changing glaciers have on downstream ecosystems.  My panoramic photography is largely in support of these efforts.  I am trying to capture the current state of various landscape features in the arctic through spherical and gigapixels panoramas, so that we can assess how these features are changing in time.  These images are also a nice way to share the beauty of these remote places with those who may never have the opportunity to visit them in person. 

Albert Brunsting was born in 1954 in Ruinerwold and has turned his hobby in short time into his job. After high school in Meppel, he studied photography and audiovisual-design at the Art Academy in Breda. After graduating in 1981, he settled as an independent photographer and producer in his home village.
Brunsting has worked for large clients such as the Emmen Zoo and many other big companies. Besides photo-productions Albert Brunsting also produced a lot of video- and audiovisual production. Best known are the several productions in the Biochron of the Emmen Zoo on 3 screens with 9 slide projectors. For several clients many foreign trips were made.

In addition to photography, the production of video presentations are still an important part of his work, the many possibilities the new media offer, have broadened the scope of Albert Brunsting. In addition to linear video productions such as corporate presentations, clips and movies for internet, there are also opportunities for inter-active productions. But also the production of documentaries belong to his work, amongst others for the artists Thom Puckey and Kees Thijn.

In the remaining time there is sometimes sparse time for free work, mostly this concerns travel photography, the reason he visited several continents and many countries. I got obsessed with spherical panoramas when I first discovered them in 2001, intrigued by the ability to capture the entire spherical scene in a single image and to share and explore these immersive worlds. I followed developments in this field from the old QTVR panoramas to when panoramas started appearing in the more flexible Flash format, to when it went mainstream through various smartphone apps and 360 cameras.

In 2010, I made my first spherical panorama using the 18-55mm kit lens that came with my DSLR, a tripod, and a Nodal Ninja MKII panohead. Many of my panoramas have been made using this setup and HDR bracketting.

The Tampa Bay area is home to the best steakhouse on the planet - Bern's Steakhouse , in Tampa- the best beaches on the planet - Sunset Beach, Pass-a-Grille, Honeymoon Island, in Pinellas County and Winter, the dolphin,  at the Clearwater Marine Aquarium. Ever since I remember, I have lived my life through a viewfinder. I've purchased my first camera with the money I saved, at the age of 17.
That first roll of film was developed and my life was changed. I knew photography, was not just a hobby, but my future and my life.

I've gratuated from Azad university of Tehran in 2002 with bachelor's degree in photography, since then I have been involved in advertising and panaromic photoghraphy.

Allen Simmons received his bachelor's degree in Art from the University of West Florida. He also obtained degrees in Social Work and Education (M.Ed.). 

As a student he was selected for both the senior and honor's photography exhibits. 

He got his start in photography using a an old Kodak Brownie camera and has transitioned into the world of digital photography. 

Now days he uses a Nikon D800 and Sigma 8mm to create his panoramas. 

Allen currently resides in Tallahassee, Florida and calls the Panhandle of Florida his home.

During my studies as a biologist I have spent quite a few hours in the darkroom. In 2002 I dicovered panorama photography. My focus is on landscapes and architecture - not completely surprising for panorama photography, I suspect.

Cameras of my youth are gone and I am in a new world of photo creations and I love it. Never could I imagine the possibilities offered in todays digital world. Join me on this wonderful journey.

Meinen ersten Fotoapparat bekam ich zu meiner Kinderkommunion. Wenn ich mich richtig erinnere, war es eine einfache Rollfilmkamera von Kodak mit 6*6 Rollfilmen. Später wurde die erste Spiegelreflexkamera als Familienkamera erworben. In der Jugendzeit wurde dann viel mit Blende, Zeit und Blitz experimentiert. Gehversuche im SW – Labor waren auch dabei. Aber mit der Chemie hatte ich es nicht so.

Nun begann das Berufsleben. In den letzten 25 Jahren habe ich mich in der IT – Branche getummelt und für die Fotografie blieb nur wenig Zeit übrig.

Als um die Jahrtausendwende die ersten bezahlbaren und brauchbaren digitalen Kameras auf den Markt kamen, bin ich auf den Zug aufgesprungen. Mich faszinierte die Möglichkeit, meine fotografierten Bilder ohne Umweg direkt in den Rechner zu bekommen. Meine erste Digitale, war die Kompaktkamera Canon G2. Auch diese Kamera hatte 2002 schon eine Panoramafunktion und das hat den Panoramavirus in mir geweckt.
