The „Holy Trinity“ of Torun: the Holy Mary Church, the remand (in the Communist time also used as ordinary prison), and the Collegium Maius (the Humainities faculty of the Copernicus University).

In the court, among others, the murders of priester Jerzy Popieluszko have been judged in the 1980s (while imprisoned in the remand nearby). As the murders were officers of the secret state police (SB), the whole area was tightly isolated by the police.
