The great Stone in the River
Puerto Rico

La Piedra Escrita, also known as the "Written Stone", is a historical and cultural landmark located in the mountainous town of Jayuya, Puerto Rico. It features a large boulder adorned with petroglyphs, which are pre-Columbian carvings believed to have been created by the indigenous Taíno people.

These carvings depict various shapes, symbols, and figures, offering a glimpse into the Taíno culture, belief systems, and artistic expression. The exact meaning and purpose of the petroglyphs remain a subject of ongoing study and interpretation.
