Mt. Nimbus via ferrata, Purcell Mountains, BC, Canada [2]
Montagnes Rocheuses - Alberta

View of the Mt. Nimbus via ferrata in the Purcell Mountains west of Spillimacheen, British Columbia.  Via ferrata is an Italian term for "iron path" & consists of a climbing route w/ protected cables & railings.  While established around the world, via ferratas are most found in Austria & Italy as well as France, Switzerland, & Spain.  The Mt. Nimbus via ferrata is the longest & highest in North America w/ this 60m suspension bridge being an adrenaline-inducing highlight as it spans over vertical drops several hundred metres down.  This one requires helicopter service to access & the bridge appears to need some upkeep.
