View from the summit of "Dogwood Peak" (elev. 7,970'), an informally named peak in the Marble Mountain Wilderness west of Fort Jones, California. The peak sits along a high range just west of the higher Boulder Peak. Views stretch north towards the Red Buttes, west towards Black Marble Mountain & the Marble Rim, south towards the Russian & Trinity Alps Wilderness, & east towards the Scott Valley w/ the mostly cloud-covered Mt. Shasta. Also views of Aspen, Buckhorn, Chinquapin, & Dogwood Lakes below forming a set of paternoster lakes.
