Devil's Cornfield Death Valley
On the salt pan deep in Death Valley, just outside of Stovepipe Wells, stands clumps of Arrowweed which look a lot like shocks of corn after a harvest. The plants grow on sandy mounds with a shallow water table that is only 5 feet.
