La estación de Ferrocarril de Copiapó fue construida en 1854 de una estructura de madera, durante del año 1982 el edificio fue restaurado.La estación se ubica el sector noroeste de la ciudad. Funcionó como museo ferroviario hasta 1998.Todavía existe en exposición dos locomotoras en el patio del edificio.
