A lapidarium is a place where stone monuments and fragments of archaeological interest are exhibited. Often such collections are placed in the yards of archaeological and historical museums, under open air.
Among the exhibits are:
- Cimmerian, Scythian and Polovtsian statues and fragments;
- pounders;
- threshing rollers;
- graters;
- millstones;
- trough;
- travel posts and gate posts;
- Cossack crosses and other crosses.
