This is a general view of the Maras Salt Mines with the evening light. Thousands of evaporation ponds have been built in terraces to exploit a salted stream coming out of the mountains. This spectacular landscape attracts more and more tourists as they discover the Sacred Valley of the Incas near Cuzco, Peru.
