S:ta Karins ruin är resterna av ett Franciskanerkloster som grundades 1233. Den fungerade som klosterkyrka fram till 1530-talet då munkarna lämnade Visby. Sedan användes den en tid som sjukhus en tid innan den övergavs och lämades att förfalla.
