The town of Killarney (Cill Airne) is located on the northeastern shore of Lough Leane. From here you can make many most beautiful trips to the Killarney National Park. The Upper lake is the smallest and southern most lake of the Three Lakes of Killarney – the others being Lough Leane and Muckross Lake. After a few days of extensive ran fall the hiking track was flooded.
