八十萬年前，大屯火山群的竹子火山爆發，炙熱的熔岩順應著山勢，成兩路奔流入海，形成了向外海延深伸的狹長陸地，與富貴角兩兩相對的海岬--麟山鼻。有人曾形容鱗山鼻是台灣最北的美麗鼻尖，關於這樣的描繪，應該說是貼切的，因為它所處的地理位置，也因為它的獨特，確實是令人目不暇給的。

退潮後的藻礁區，更顯得讓鮮明又清晰喔。
