Masseria Aragona
Sicily
Il Feudo Ragona, di antica origine, venne acquisito dai Principi di Biscari. Nella prima metà del XVIII secolo Ignazio Paternò Castello, proprietario anche di Carcaci e del Maccarone, ne ricavò la più grande risaia di Sicilia, alimentata da un magnifico acquedotto, alimentato dalle sorgenti del Manganelli presso Santa Domenica e svettante su un monumentale ponte a doppio ordine di arcate, la cui campata centrale - a sesto acuto - faceva anche da ponte per uomini e soma. La Masseria Aragona sorge dov'era il nucleo principesco, sebbene si presenti oggi nel suo aspetto novecentesco. Ancora oggi è una proprietà privata abitata.
