Mutta above Feldis (Grisons, Switzerland)
Grisons

The "Mutta" (Rumansh name; or "Motta" in German) isn't a real summit but a corner of a wide pasture plane with an altitude of about 2,000 m a.s.l. Situated about 1,500 m above the junction of the two branches of the river Rhine (Vorderrhein and Hinterrhein) it offers an astonishing viewup to a distance of above 100km. You can see mountains in Austria and Italy as well. Most distant and hightest visible summit is the Finsteraarhorn in the Bernese Oberland (4,272 m, 105 km away).

A version with the most important visible summits labeled with name and height can be found here (move to the lower right corner to enable the labels).

The "Mutta" belongs to the little mountain village of Feldis. The region hasn't a signifiant touristic infrastructure. You can make lonesome ski, (winter) hiking or snowshoe tours here.
