Asen Monument erected during the celebration of 800 years since the proclamation of Veliko Tarnovo, the capital of Bulgaria. He dedicated the kings of the Second Bulgarian Kingdom. Asen I, Peter, Kaloyan and Ivan Asen II ruled here from 1185 until 1241. The monument was presented to the city in 1985.
