Beget is a small population center in the Province of Girona in Catalonia, Spain, it belongs to the association The Most Beautiful Villages in Spain, the most prominent building is the church of San Cristóbal, around which the oldest part of Beget and its stone houses are grouped around the stream. At the end of the 18th century, Beget had 662 inhabitants and in 1860, 1,309 inhabitants, currently, it has no more than 25 inhabitants and has become a tourist town and second homes.
