Freixo Espada A Cinta, Filipe Neri church, nave
Portugal

Built in 1673, the convent housed a house of religious (priests), who followed the congregation of S. Filipe Néri created in Italy in 1575. It was the troubled time of the wars for the restoration of independence in 1640-63. The architecture used here, the initial Baroque, from this period became known as "ground style" because it is characterized by austere lines and without the exuberant decoration typical of the Baroque. It is considered a church hall.
