Freixo Espada A Cinta, Igreja de Sao Miguel, nave
Portugal

Manueline church built between 1520-1550, following the conception of the church hall and the unification of space, as in the church of the Jerónimos monastery (1500-1522), with elegant single cylinder pillars that support ribbed vaults in the 3 naves at almost the same height. The high choir was built during the century. XVII. Inside the side walls of the main chapel, 16 panels are painted by a disciple of Vasco Fernandes (Grão-Vasco), with scenes from the life of the Virgin and the childhood and passion of Christ.
