Opened in 1937 as a coffee shop, the Lookout Gift Shop clings to the cliff top at Cape Foulweather. Thick concrete walls are pinned into the basalt bedrock with steel rods. It affords a fine place to enjoy the view despite winds that may reach 100 mph in storms.
