The Obruk Han in central Anatolia had been built under the Seljuks around 1245. It's next to the imortant trade road to Konya, about one day away. Very obvious are all the spolia with christian crosses, symbols and inscriptions. They are probably from an older church or monastry. According to the construction sign, the restauration had started in September 2007 and should be finished 22.Jan.2009. When I visited the place in summer 2010 it looked as if the workers had run away like fugitives.
