大屯地區主要包括大屯自然公園、二子坪親水遊憩區、大屯群峰、面天山、向天山、菜公坑山等。大屯自然公園位於大屯山的西北方山腰，一○一甲縣道（百拉卡公路）旁，海拔高度約800公尺，以植生復舊所形成之自然公園，暖溫帶闊葉林和火山錐體最具特色。

本區域設有二個服務站：一為大屯服務站，一為二子坪簡易服務站。

大屯服務站除動植物及昆蟲標本外，主要以陽明山早期人文活動藍染產業介紹為主題館，展示館雖小，然甚具巧思，尤其坐於館內大落地窗前向外望，湖水、山嵐、蒼松、天光，思幽谷之情懷。
