The Catholic parish church of St. Vitus in the center of the community Dorfprozelten was built 1899-1901 according to the plans of the famous cathedral architect Dr. hc Josef H. Schmitz. The artistic decoration comes from the brothers Rudolf, Matthäus and Heinz Schiestl.
