The medieval stork tower is part of the former city fortifications of Herrieden in the Central Franconian district of Ansbach. It stands at the southern end of the market square and if you look closely, you will see that the tower is one of the few buildings in the Altmühltal where storks still nest today. The stork tower is entered in the Bavarian monument list, the Herrieden photo club uses the rooms in the tower.
