Kaslo - S.S. Moyie (aerial)
Montagnes Rocheuses - Alberta

A 30m aerial view overlooking the S.S. Moyie in Kaslo, British Columbia.  Assembled in Toronto, Ontario for intent of transporting passengers on the Stikine River during the Klondike Gold Rush, the passenger sternwheeler was instead put into service from 1898 to 1957 at Arrow & Kootenay Lakes along with her sister ship Minto.  Today it sits on the shore of Kootenay Lake & is a converted museum & national historic landmark of Canada, the only one of its kind left after the Minto was deliberately set on fire in 1968.  In the backdrop is downtown Kaslo, a small tourist trap community incorporated on August 14, 1893 & having a population of 1,049 as of 2021.
