A view of the Caribou Lakes Trail in the Trinity Alps Wilderness near Coffee Creek, California.  Here the area was heavily burned by the River Complex fire in 2021, a series of over 20 wildfires caused by lightning that scorched 199,343 acres of forest land from July 30 to October 25.  The area has primarily grown back with bushes of snowbrush ceanothus.
