Eruption au Tremblet
Réunion

Cette éruption particulièrement importante a débuté le 2 avril 2007 et a duré un mois. Pas moins de 130 millions de mètres-cubes de lave se sont écoulés entre la fissure éruptive à 590 mètres d'altitude et la mer, sur une épaisseur pouvant dépasser 60 mètres. La chaleur et des pluies acides ont détruit toute végétation alentours. Trois ans plus tard la température en profondeur atteint encore 450°c.
