A high level view of the 2010 Veteran Car Run in Crawley
England

The Run commemorates the Emancipation Run of 14 November 1896 which celebrated the passing into law of the Locomotives on the Highway Act, which raised the speed limit from 4 mph to 14 mph. Previously, vehicles were required to be preceded by a man on foot carrying a red flag.

Each year over 350 pre 1905 cars from around the world recreate the original run from London to Brighton.

This is the half way stop in Crawley High St, outside the historic George Hotel
