Battle Of Britain Memorial, Capel-le-Ferne, Kent
England

The statue of a lone pilot at the Battle of Britain Memorial is dedicated to all the airman that fought against the Luftwaffe during the Battle of Britain in 1940. The national memorial to 'the Few', as they were referred to by wartime Prime Minister Winston Churchill, is situated on the White Cliffs overlooking the English Channel where much of the aerial combat took place.
