The vaulted interior of Burke House is cool, even in the tropical heat. Tom Johnston, who created the houses at Moonhole was a sailor and knew how to position windows and doors for natural ventilation from the prevailing breezes. He sourced his materials locally and the blue mahoe wood four poster bed was made by local carpenters from the village of Paget Farm. From the windows there are extensive views to the south over the islands of Isle a Quatre, Mustique and Baliceaux. Please see my other panoramas for more details.
