Bergamo: Visconti Castle (Castello) in Pagazzano - West wall

Probably built over a previous structure dating back to 12th century, the Castle of Pagazzano is in the Pianura  Padana, in the province of Bergamo not far from Milan. This small Castle was part of a belt of fortresses created in the 15th  century by the Visconti, one of the most important noble families in Italy that ruled Milan in the last part of Middle Age.
