Cape Foulweather viewpoint, 500 Feet above the ocean
USA
When Captain James Cook of the Royal Navy explored the Pacific coast in 1778 this was the first prominent point of land he saw. He named it after the weather that day, during a March storm. It is a basalt cliff rising 500 feet from the ocean and looks down on the Otter Crest area.
