Castuera there a product that has established fame: the nougat. The nougat is a product clearly Mediterranean is closely linked to the production of honey and almond. The origin of the tradition of Castuera nougat goes back to the Muslim era.The Spanish Inventory of Traditional Products include Castuera Nougat.

They also highlight the gourmet dishes that are based on the lamb and pork products, which include the stew of Extremadura and the famous egg gazpacho.
It enjoys cheese Castuera recognition, in particular, the most popular cheese and Torta de la Serena ", made from sheep's milk and has been recognized with numerous awards in food fairs.
The district is part of the production area of four products that stand out for their quality: Cheese, Wine, Ham and Extra Virgin Olive Oil.
