The Children's Pool is a beach that has a barrier wall that creates a protected area from the surf. It is a favorite place for Pacific Harbor Seals and their pups to haul out. Pups are born from February through April each year and they frolic in the surf with their mothers. The building behind is a life guard tower. The beach is in La Jolla which is a community in San Diego, California USA.
Known as "The Jewel", La Jolla offers one of the worlds top ten beaches. The scenic coast line, rocky cliffs, under water perserve, fantastic dining and shopping are all reasons to visit.
