Steuerwagen (ex Interregio) Bimdzf

Wikipedia: "Zuletzt wurden 1995 noch 20 Steuerwagen beschafft, die die Kennung Bimdzf269 trugen, um in den großen Kopfbahnhöfen wie München Hbf, Frankfurt (Main) Hbf oder Leipzig Hbf geringere Wendezeiten bei den Zugläufen zu ermöglichen. Die Wagen entstanden unter Federführung von ABB Henschel mit LHB, Alcatel SEL aus dem Umbau von DR-Wagen der Bauarten ABom226, einem Bom281 und zwei verunfallten Bimz259, die zwischen 1983 und 1992 für die Deutsche Reichsbahn gebaut wurden.

Weitere zwölf Steuerwagen der Bauart Bimdzf269.2 waren vor allem für den Einsatz auf der IC-Linie 8, München-Nürnberg-Leipzig-Berlin-Hamburg gedacht. Sechs davon waren in orientrot mit Streifen lackiert und sechs in verkehrsrot-lichtgrau. Diese Steuerwagen mit IR-Einrichtung waren ohne Kupplungsabdeckung ausgeführt, da sich diese als störanfällig erwies. Später hat man die Klappe auch bei den Bimdzf269.0 entfernt."
