Dock of the Caravels
On March 15, 1994, the Caravelas Pier was opened on the banks of the Tinto River to celebrate the anniversary of the V Centennial of the Discoveries of America. The dock of the quay, with a semicircular shape, has two docks where anchoring the replicas of the discovering ships. In the center is the Santa Maria, to port the Niña and to starboard the Pinta. The pier is located in the Colombian Locations complex, in the municipality of Palos de la Frontera (Huelva), where we also find the IV Centenary Monument, Ibero-American Forum, La Rábida Monastery and Celestino Mutis botanical park.
