Theodor Seuss Geisel was a children's book writer of classics that are known world wide.  The sculpture shown here is of Dr. Seuss and, one of his creations, the Cat in the Hat.  It is in front of the Geisel Library which is on the campus of the University of California, San Diego, California, USA.
