Historical Square
Russia

Historical Square is set up at the place of former Tyumen burg built by the Cossacks headed by voevodes Vasily Sukin and Ivan Myasnoy in summer 1586. In 1992 a cross was placed in the square in commemoration of Ermak and other explorers of Siberia. Close to the cross there is a stone flag symbolizing the place of city foundation.
