Joshua Tree Forest

The pano was taken in a small gully in the the Arizona desert, in the middle of a Yucca forest. The Yucca in question here is the Yucca Brevifolia known as the Joshua tree.

The trees seem to be in their natural habitat here. Knowing the climate conditions on site and seeing their sizes they are rather anciens specimens of their species.

Estimating their height to be around 3 meters and as such their age can be estimated in the rage of 60-70 years based on public Wikipedia data on the growth rate of the Yoshua Tree.
